Dancing the Parenting

A white woman with auburn hair cut into a bob is doing a side stretch next to a toddler who also has red hair. The woman is wearing shorts and a shirt, the toddler a smock with flowers on it. You can see mountains and the sea in the background.

Dancing the Parenting is a dance based weekly group for people who are pregnant or who have just given birth and that have struggled in that period. This evolved out of an earlier Arts and Minds Project funded by the Baring Foundation. In this iteration, I work collaboratively with Aneurin Bevan NHS Perinatal Mental Health Team and Gwent Infant Parent Mental Health Services and am funded by Arts Council Wales. The groups are co-created with the women and children served by those teams.
